His True Colours (Charlie Chaplin)

I used everything, tools and skills, in my arsenal to do this drawing for school. There is a little story behind this picture: in reality, physical film can't be exposed to any amount of light or else its image quality gets damaged. The only way to store it is inside a canister like the one Charlie is holding. Here I like to imagine that Charlie's true colours are closed within, aka 'His true colours don't see the light of day'. It could also be a metaphor for Charlie being a colourful personality, compensating for his black-and-white movies. Charles' demeanor was hugely different from his fictional 'Tramp' self, perhaps for the worse.
